Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out with her debut as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, and the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia was a professional who started her professional journey at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and the 2016 International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. It was also the WMC World Championships were also held in 2016, and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thailand World Champion. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas during her fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following in the second round TKO. The following two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a short time off from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina made use of her formidable strike skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended after this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight by unanimous decision, but she losing her following fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss, and won Lucie Prudilova's battle at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke submission. It was the best fight of night for that bout. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. In the past, Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
